I love home improvement shows as much as the next person-and have learned a lot from them-but let's face it, those shows don't typically represent real life home ownership for most of us.  You either need a master's in glue gun use to create a lamp out of reclaimed socks, or thousands of dollars for your dream kitchen.

How many hours have you pined away, wishing for some gorgeous design star and his or her team of hunky contractors who work for free to come to your house and solve all of your problems?

I am here to show you that you can do some great things with a little elbow grease and a more realistic budget.  Yes, even you!

This blog is about real life solutions for normal, penny pinching home owners like you and me.
